Pebbles Care Ltd. is seeking an experienced and highly skilled Head of Care, to take on a pivotal leadership role across our homes in England. As Head of Care you will provide strategic direction and guidance to our care teams across twenty-seven homes located in Cumbria, Yorkshire, Lancashire, St Helens, Leeds and the North East. You will provide leadership and management support and guidance to a team of Area Managers whose role is to provide external oversight of homes across four areas. In addition you will manage a team of Quality Improvement Managers whose role is to provide additional support in relation to quality assurance.

**Your role and responsibilities - Head of Care, England**

Your primary responsibility as Head of Care will be to ensure the safety and well-being of children and young people, by ensuring that standards of care continually improve. We aim to exceed standards set by our regulators and provide a nurturing and positive lived experience for children and young people in our care. Working closely with our care teams and managers, you will focus on improving our standards of service delivery through strong leadership and guidance. Your role will involve monitoring and evaluating the quality of care provided, whilst also promoting regulatory compliance by providing guidance and direction to a small team of Quality Improvement Managers.

As the main point of contact for our Area Managers, you will offer the necessary support they require to excel in their roles. Additionally, you will report directly to our Board of Directors and CEO, providing them with regular progress updates as you contribute to service and business development.

**What we offer you**
- Your staring salary is between £60,000 to £65,000 per annum, depending on experience, qualifications, and training.

**Essential qualities that we look for include**:

- An extensive background in senior management within a residential child-care setting.
- An understanding and ability to articulate and define excellent standards of residential child care.
- Strong leadership and management qualities.
- A qualified or accredited training in Child Protection.
- Proficient in building relationships and fostering effective communication channels to establish positive connections with both children in both intra and inter-agency settings.
- Being fully conversant with OFSTED regulations and other respective regulatory guidance, and adept at operating within these.
- Full UK drivers’ licence.

**Desirable qualities that we look for include,**
- Level 5 in Leadership and Management
- Educated to degree level in Social Work or Health and Social Care
- Knowledge of Therapeutic Parenting
