**Job Overview**:
As a Senior Buyer within the Procurement team, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of materials, equipment, and services necessary for the shipbuilding process. You will collaborate closely with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and cross-functional teams to support the successful completion of projects.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead and execute strategic sourcing initiatives to identify, evaluate, and select suppliers capable of providing high-quality materials, equipment, and services while optimizing costs.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negotiate favorable terms, resolve issues, and ensure consistent supply chain performance.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Design teams to understand project requirements and technical specifications, ensuring alignment with supplier capabilities.
- Analyze market trends, supply chain risks, and emerging technologies to proactively identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and supplier innovation.
- Manage the end-to-end procurement process, including issuing RFQs, evaluating proposals, conducting vendor assessments, and making recommendations for supplier selection.
- Lead contract negotiations, drafting agreements, and maintaining accurate procurement records in compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
- Monitor and manage supplier performance, addressing any deviations from established quality, delivery, and cost standards.
- Mentor and provide guidance to junior procurement team members, fostering their professional growth and development.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support project milestones, ensure on-time material deliveries, and address any supply-related challenges that may arise.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field. Master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum [X] years of experience in procurement, with a focus on shipbuilding, maritime, or heavy industries.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex procurement projects and negotiating with suppliers.
- Understanding of shipbuilding materials, equipment, and industry-specific procurement challenges.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate supplier capabilities and assess market trends.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPSM) are a plus.
