This varied role will involve:

- Working closely with the Buyer in the purchase and flow of all parts, spares and components
- Sourcing, ordering and booking in all incoming components as driven by the business need
- Closely communicating with shopfloor stores/stock personnel, as well as production function
- Decision-making based on availability, lead times, cost, suitability and quality of products
- Establishing relationships with suppliers and customers
- Checking and booking-in of all incoming materials to ensure correct fulfilment of orders
- Working with the Sage SICON MRP system

Applicants must have previous experience of materials control/stock management in an

engineering/manufacturing environment and strong IT skills including MRP knowledge (SICON would be advantageous). Excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to plan ahead and good attention to detail are also important.
