**The Role**

The Finance Business Partner will report into the Head of Operational Finance. The successful individual will be charged with working with 4-5 sites across the business unit. This will involve preparing the accounts for each site, presenting these to the Managing Director and Head of Operational Finance, distributing MI packs to the relevant Site Controllers and partnering with them to drive operational excellence (alongside a variety of other finance duties (see below).

This individual will have experience of a similar management accounting/business partnering role, within an industrial sector e.g., construction, facilities management, manufacturing etc. Moreover, this person will ideally be a qualified accountant and have strong reporting capabilities using MS Excel.

The Finance Business Partner is based in the West Lothian offices and will offer flexible and hybrid working. The role will offer:

We are keen to engage with qualified Accountants that have a passion for aiding business direction, strategy and decision making through effective financial analysis, insights & business partnering. The successful individual could come from an existing industry background, or this could be their first industry move from practice. The employer is also willing to consider finalists, provided they are still actively studying and only a few exams remaining.

You will be involved in but not limited to the following duties:

- Reporting to the Head of Operational Finance and the Managing Director
- Preparation of management accounts including analysis and commentary for 4-5 sites
- Presenting management information to all site controller and partnering with each to drive improvements and efficiencies
- Budgeting and forecasting including analysis and commentary
- Production and presentation of KPIs for site controllers
- Balance Sheet reconciliations of key accounts
- Continual development of reporting and business partnering processes
- Assisting with audit queries, providing information where necessary
- Production of ad hoc analysis for key business areas and projects
