We are looking for a Compliance Associate from the mortgage/insurance compliance ecosystem to join our Compliance function. This person will focus on oversight of advice given by Better.co.uk advisers to our customers, completing regular Quality Assurance checks and implementing changes as required to further enhance the advice our customers receive. This role offers great developmental opportunities to get involved with the broader Compliance Monitoring Plan, and Strategic initiatives across Better.co.uk.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Undertake regular Quality Assurance checks on adviser files (mortgage and protection).
- Maintain management information, provide feedback to Mortgage Team Managers on findings and maintain tracking of actions
- Identify key areas for improvement, complete trend analysis and provide ad hoc training to Mortgage Team as required
- Provide induction training to new starters on the compliance requirements in the Quality Assurance checks
- Assistance and coordination of regulatory reporting
- Support delivery of firm wide Compliance Training

**Developmental opportunities**
- To support the Compliance team in wider responsibilities i.e. completion of reviews and reports aligned to the Compliance Monitoring Plan
- To support the Risk team with reporting and identification of risks within Better.co.uk
- Provide advice and guidance on marketing literature, white papers, financial promotions as relevant to Better.co.uk's activities
- Support the MLRO with AML and financial crime investigations

**Key skills and experience**
- Excellent understanding of mortgage advice and protection advice regulatory requirements
- FCA (MCOB and ICOB) handbook knowledge
- Ability to learn quickly and a can-do attitude.
- Must be a self-starter who is able to prioritise work and be proactive.
- CeMAP qualification is desirable
