We are responsible for the entire range of children’s education, health and social care services in all three boroughs. The Emotional Health Service (EHS) is a dynamic and progressive Tier 2 CAMH team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, CBT Therapists, Systemic Psychotherapists and Art Psychotherapists. We have teams at Richmond (Twickenham base) and Kingston (Chessington base) and work closely with our colleagues in Early Help and Social Care. We have staff working in specialist posts in Safeguarding, Looked After Children and deliver a local Neurodevelopmental Assessment Service. We have a strong sense of team and work together to support children and young people’s emotional wellbeing.
Our Assistant Psychologist posts are central to the service. You will be part of an Assistant Psychologist group of 12. The roles focus on providing clinical, administration and audit support to the teams under the supervision of qualified staff.
**We are currently recruiting for 4 Assistant Psychologist on a 12 month fixed term.**
About the role
We have 4 vacancies in our team of 13 Assistant Psychologists, due staff gaining places on training courses in the Autumn:
**Post 1**
is focused on the Neurodevelopmental Team (NDT) Autism and ADHD assessment service**Posts 2 & 3**
are split between the NDT and cluster teams who provide psychological support**Post 4**
is n the cluster team focused on waiting list support.
The roles are varied and provide opportunities for supervised clinical work in assessment, interventions and groups, supporting the team with report writing and clinical discussions with colleagues, ad hoc audits and service development work.

About you
You will be:
- Educated to degree level in Psychology (2:1 or above)
- ADOS trained (ideally for posts 1 & 3)
- Experience of working in CAMHS or other child mental health service
- Experience of working with children with ASC or ADHD
- A knowledge of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
