- Be accountable for the development of education, training and knowledge management that supports the implementation of nursing strategy across all service areas of the UHB.
- Work closely with key stakeholders in the development of strategic planning in relation to development, talent management and succession planning.
- Ensure that clinical education is delivered through a robust and effective performance management framework.
- Develop and implement the Strategies for Leadership and Management Development, Coaching, Team Based Working, Cultural Assessment and Values Based Appraisal.
- Form effective collaborative relationships with stakeholders to influence national strategy.
- Develop close working relationships with trade unions and professional bodies to foster partnership working and co-production.

- Through compassionate and inclusive leadership, develop, motivate and empower all members of the team to develop, innovate and perform to high standards.
