Buddy required for a delightful young boy who has Cerebral Palsy living in the Kenley area, near Shrewsbury.

The client is a young and happy male with Cerebral Palsy. He has a keen interest in trains and cars and enjoys spending time with his family; he lives at home with his mum, dad and sister. Some of his hobbies include playing golf, football, horse-riding, swimming and playing, using his trike/scooter and feeding the ducks at the park. He likes to go to the local driving range and crazy golf courses and also enjoys other indoor leisure activities such as trampoline parks, bowling and wall climbing.

He is currently developing his speech, fine motor and personal care skills; he is (very) mobile, but requires support with visual/spatial awareness, strength and balance training.

The client requires support/supervision for aspects of daily living and engagement in hobbies of interest. He has a therapy team inclusive of: SLT, OT, Physiotherapist and Clinical Psychologist, who all integrate goals through play therapy.

Working hours: 15 hours per week. 14:30pm - 19:30pm plus occasional additional hours at weekends and holidays.

Our client seeks someone who is well organised and flexible. Previous experience with brain injury/Cerebral Palsy clients would be an advantage.

Rates of pay £15.00 per hour Monday to Friday, £17.00 per hour Saturday and Sunday

An NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care or equivalent is desirable. Otherwise, the applicant must be willing to undertake Care Certificate training.
