Horse Riding Instructor

We have had a growth in the number of hacks and lessons this year and we are looking for a dynamic and experienced person to assist the team.

The role will entail working in a close team of yard staff to primary care for the horses and assist with the hacks and lessons that we run from the centre. We are looking for someone ready to do the job, training is offered.

About the role:

- Working on the yard to look after the horses and maintain an efficient and tidy yard.
- Have a focus on the customer journey and improving the client experience
- Taking out rides and leading hacks with a focus on safety and the exciting experience.
- Bringing on inexperienced horses
- Assisting with training the apprentices and overseeing helpers and volunteers.
- Work at different locations to deliver a high-level experience.
- Working as part of a close team.

**Requirements**:

- Experience Coaching and Instructing a range of clients and horses.
- Experience working in a busy yard as part of a team.
- A good level of riding on the flat as well as out hacking.
- Safety conscious
- A good understanding of horse behaviour and herd behaviour
- Experience with handling nervous horses and developing their skills and confidence.
- Ability to identify personal development areas.

Preferable:

- Full UK Driving Licence
- UKCC Coaching certificate
- A trailer licence

**Salary**: £9.50-£12.50 per hour
