Lincoln, United Kingdom United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust Full time

Are you a NURSING ASSOCIATE or soon to be a qualified NURSING ASSOCIATE?

Branston ward is excited to be able to recruit a nursing associate to join our existing nursing team, providing Gynaecological care to our patient's.

We are keen to have a Nursing Associate join our team of registered nurses as we feel this is a role that will fit well within our existing workforce structure.

Our clinical educator will support and encourage you to develop clinically and we will also offer induction programmes, in-house training and teaching sessions. In addition to this, you will be supported in the clinical environment to develop knowledge and skills in our area.

We are an inpatient ward that provides Gynaecological Care to patients whom are attending as part of an emergency pathway and also those whom are undergoing elective surgery.

We also see a significant number of patients with early pregnancy complications through our Gynae assessment unit, and work closely with the Early pregnancy assessment unit.

We may also provide care for other specialities whom are transferred to us to support bed pressures across the site.

As a Nursing Associate on Branston Ward, you will be expected to work alongside the registered nursing workforce and other members of the multi disciplinary teams; demonstrating excellent communication, attitudes and behaviours whilst delivering high standards of safe effective patient care.

We are a friendly group and look forward to embracing this new role into our team.

Our Trust is situated in the beautiful county of Lincolnshire and is one of the biggest acute hospital trusts in England, serving a population of more than 700,000 people. We provide acute and specialist services to people in Lincolnshire and neighbouring counties. We have an annual income of £643 million (20/21) and we employ nearly 8,500 people.

Our Board have recently agreed a new vision statement - “Outstanding Care Personally Delivered” - stating their ambition for our Trust to be among the best.

We also have a five year Integrated Improvement Plan setting out how we will achieve our strategic objectives, for patients, services, people and partners, the last recognising that our future success depends on our ability to ensure the Lincolnshire healthcare system is successful in achieving its ambition to help people live healthier lives and provide care closer to where people live.

Our latest CQC report increased our ratings for being effective and well-led from ‘Requires Improvement’ to ‘Good’. Our rating for caring remained as ‘Good’.

This is in recognition of the huge amount of work that our amazing staff have done to improve the quality of care for our patients in recent years.

We are committed to helping our staff balance their work and home lives and ensure they feel supported, valued and appreciated.
