**Technical ManagerPosition Overview**

They are currently looking to bolster their team with a Technical Manager who will be focused on managing the Technical Department in providing technical solutions (existing and new products), promptly and efficiently to all stakeholders in order to deliversales and margin growth above target.

Core KPIs are: Response time, Delivery of Technical Training, Gross Profit, Customer Satisfaction (NPS), NPI, Diversification Sales & Bespoke product solutions.

Main responsibilities include:

- Manage, coordinate and oversee Technical team activities and workload.
- Provide assistance/support to the general duties undertaken by Technical team.
- Provide support to Group Product Director of new product introductions and sales of diversification products.
- Support Product Marketing literature and campaigns, taking a lead role on local initiatives whilst supporting Group initiatives
- Talent enhancement management of the Technical team staff members.
- Responsible for the company product training program.
- Management of CI & KPI programs for the technical team.
- Take the lead on website product support (e.g. Assisting on new Products publicised / maintenance aspects of others).
- Coordinate the introduction of new products from existing and new suppliers in terms of technical training & to support promotion thereof.
- Facilitate team contribution to the company daily huddle and other associated forums (taking the lead where required).
- Represent the Technical dept at the company monthly management meetings.
- Take the lead in the monthly departmental review meetings.
- Annual Appraisal of departmental staff.

**Technical ManagerPosition Requirements**
- An electrical/engineering background (ideally qualified to HND / BTEC level or higher).
- Ideally 3-5 years managerial experience within an electrical interconnect-based working environment.
- Good knowledge of the requirements of, and the ongoing trends within the multiple markets that the company serves.
- Continuous improvement oriented - has familiarity with lean and change management principles.
- Embraces and thrives on challenge and stretch goals
- Ability to manage, motivate and inspire team members on a daily basis.
- Good delegation and team coordination.
- A logical approach to problem solving and a keen eye for detail.
- Strong communication skills and ability to build multi-site relationships.
- A good working knowledge of MS Office including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Be familiar with current business trends with regards to accessing/ providing technical support across a range of digital platforms.
