**The Role
- Cleaning Team Leader**

Pinnacle Group are looking an experienced, knowledgable and enthusiastic individual to lead a team of cleaners based in the Basildon area. This contract covers housing estates, counil estates, offices, community halls and other public buildings and the CleaningTeam Leader would be travelling from site to site, ensuring that the cleaning was being completed to a satisfactory standard, dealing with site issues, conducting staff training etc.

Hours would be 6am to 4pm, Monday to Friday and this will include being on call at weekends on a rota basis.

**Duties/Key Responsibilities**
- Establishment of cleaning standards and procedures for workers and ensure adherence to these standards and procedures
- Arranging cover for annual leave and sickness
- Use of appropriate I.T systems such as JobWatch
- Coaching and developing employees
- Scheduling and assigning specific duties/roles to staff and ensuring that they are carried out to the specified standard
- Inspection of cleaning equipment on a regular basis to ensure they are in good working order
- Controlling and monitoring the usage of cleaning materials to avoid or minimise waste and/or misuse
- Providing any form of required assistance to staff while they carry out their duties.
- Provide assistance to the Contract Manager to undertake work that may be required to fulfil the service delivery contract.

**Skills Required**:

- Must possess excellent communication skills in speaking, writing, and listening
- Must have good interpersonal attributes. (easily approachable)
- Must be outstanding when it comes to organization and coordination of both staff and their activities
- Must display a high level of integrity when dealing with staff information (GDPR)
- Excellent decision-making ability is a must-have
- Must be proactive in the line of duty
- Full clean driving licence
- Must have the ability and willingness to work as part of a team, and most importantly, lead a team
- Must be able to be flexible in their approach to dealing with staff or service delivery issues
- Should have a clear understanding of customer service guidelines/principles
- Must have relevant experience in cleaning/facilities and supervision of cleaning/facilities procedures
- Must lead by example and promote the Pinnacle values within the contract team.
