The Changing Live in Collaboration (CLIC) Trust are delighted to be recruiting an Administrator to support the Trust’s Governance Support Officer in achieving effective governance by acting as clerk to the governors for each of the Trust’s schools, supporting the work of the Local Governing Committees and producing accurate minutes of their meetings. As well administering the recruitment and supporting the retention of local governors and maintaining all associated records (including governor training records), the postholder will also provide general administration duties to the CLIC Trust team.

Currently, the Trust’s Governance Support Officer is responsible for the administration of governance at all layers of the governance structure - the school-level Local Governing Committees, the Board of Trustees and its three sub-committees and the Trust’s Members. With the addition of more schools, however, the Governance Support Officer requires support with the administration at school-level. The Local Governing Committees currently meet four times a year (our schools with Ofsted gradings below Good, meet 6 times per year). Attendance at each of these meetings is essential to fulfilling this role. The Governance Administrator will be the headteachers’ and governors’ main point of contact for matters pertaining to local governance and will report to the Governance Support Officer.

A flexible approach to working hours is essential as the role involves evening meetings at the schools which tend to cluster in certain weeks in the terms, however, the administration work prior to and following meetings can be carried out in a flexible way. While it is expected that the postholder will travel to attend the meetings at the schools, they can choose to undertake the rest of the work from home (in line with the Trust’s Lone Working Policy) or at the central CLIC office, or a combination of both.

The CLIC (Changing Lives in Collaboration) Trust is based in Greater Manchester. It currently comprises six primary schools (Chorlton Park, Crosslee, Dane Bank, Lily Lane, Old Moat and Rolls Crescent). Like many Multi-Academy Trusts, CLIC is currently growing with a view to more schools joining in the next few years.
