**About the role**:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide one-on-one support for a non-verbal Year 1 child with special educational needs. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in facilitating the child's educational and social development, ensuring they have the best possible learning experience.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Work closely with the classroom teacher to create and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for the child.
- Provide one-on-one support and assistance to the child in various classroom activities.
- Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment, promoting the child's social and emotional development.
- Adapt and modify teaching materials as needed to accommodate the child's unique learning style.
- Monitor and assess the child's progress, providing regular feedback to the teacher and parents.
- Collaborate with other members of the school's special education team to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development.
- Assist with any personal care needs as required, always maintaining dignity and respect for the child.

**Requirements**:
To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

- A minimum of a Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- The ability to work collaboratively with a team and follow guidance from the classroom teacher.
- Knowledge of relevant teaching and learning strategies for children with special needs.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:

- Previous SEN experience or experience of supporting a child(ren) who are none-verbal.
