To support a gentleman within the family home. The aim and objective of the service is to provide the gentleman with the highest standards of care, support, quality of life, and health and wellbeing.

Employees should be enthusiastic about working as part of a team that has a strong focus on supporting the gentleman to achieve his goals and aspirations. Staff will be supported in their role through providing training for identified needs and through mentoring from management and senior support staff. Staff also have the support of the Manager.

The Trust is committed to providing a person-centred approach. In order to support the gentleman to achieve positive outcomes.

The Trust will support the Gentleman to live an independent personalized bespoke lifestyle in their own family home, and socialise in their community. They will be respected and treated equally as any other adult person would expect in their lives. The Trust will ascertain the wishes and feelings and ensure health, social needs, education, working needs and well-being are understood and supported. The Positive Emotional and Person-centred approach will focus on achievement and positive outcomes for the gentleman support Staff and all other stakeholders and partnerships.

ROLES AND RESPONIBILIES WILL INCLUDE BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO:
Support with:
1. Dressing and undressing - Bathing, washing, oral hygiene and hair maintenance.

2. High standard of hygiene and adherence to infection control measures.

3. Stoma and catheter care.

4. Medication and other health related activities.

5. Manual Handling and transfers.

6. Eating, and meal preparation, and nutrition.

7. PEG food and medication administration

8. Handling personal possessions.

9. Handling, storage, and completion of relevant documentation in line with Policy & Procedure.

10. Respecting that this is a family home, respecting privacy, treating family members and colleagues with respect and dignity, maintaining high levels of confidentiality.

11. Communication and emotional support.

12. Support in Education, Social Inclusion, Social Activities and Therapy.

13. To complete basic household tasks pertaining to the gentleman.

Care and support will be provided in the least intrusive way with full consent and the Gentleman’s approval at all times. Health & Social Care Workers will be respectful of the race, culture, religion, age, disability, gender and sexuality of the Gentleman and the way they receive care. Adaptability and support to the gentleman’s changing needs.

**Job Type**: Zero hours contract

Pay: £11.95-£18.23 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 39 per week
