Charity Shop Volunteer

This is a volunteer only role. No salary is applicable.

Since 1986 the CRRC has been helping sick, injured and unwanted pets. We have rescued and rehomed more than 25000 cats, kittens, rabbits and guinea pigs, and normally help around 1000 animals each year.

No previous experience needed as training and directions will be given. However, retail experience is desirable.

**Responsibilities will include**:

- Committing to work in the shop for agreed hours on a regular basis which can include weekends and bank holidays.
- Helping with the collection, sorting, pricing and rotation of donated goods for sale
- Helping to ensure that there is sufficient stock and donations for sale
- Liaising with the CRRC delivery driver as needed for the delivery, rotation and disposal of supplies for the Chichester shop as directed by the Shop Manager.
- Helping with the dressing of the windows and displays of goods for sale. Making the shop an attractive, friendly and welcoming space for customers, volunteers and staff alike.
- Working the cash till and card machines, and the receipts of cash donations
- If requested, helping with the banking of receipts for the Chichester shop, reporting income to CRRC’s finance department as instructed.
- Complying with all relevant CRRC policies & procedures, relevant legal requirements, and health & safety provisions as directed.
- Cultivating good relations with neighbours and other retail organisations locally.
- Ensuring that the shop is kept clean and in a safe state of repair.
- In an emergency we might ask you to help out in one of our other shops in the Chichester area.

**Reporting Line**
- Volunteers will report to the Shop & Retail Manager.

- Day shift
- Monday to Friday
