**The Job**

The role of a Shop Assistant is key to our success in conveying our love for Spain and Spanish foods to our customers. We will share our extensive knowledge of our products and our commitment to bringing that pride to new and existing customers therefore making our shop a vital part of our neighbourhood and community.

**The Person**

A love of food in general and Spanish food in particular with the confidence to convey this to our customers on the shop floor. Proven team working and communication skills, calm under pressure with a “can do” attitude.
- **Please note that we are looking for full time (40h p/w) shop assistants to work across both of our retails outlests - at Borough Market, London Bridge and Hildreth Street, Balham.**_

**Job details**
- Treat customers at all times in a courteous and helpful manner, dealing with queries and providing assistance as required, promoting an inspiring, friendly and enjoyable shopping experience
- Share my passion for Brindisa products by offering advice to customers and acting on their comments and suggestions in order to increase sales.
- Provide an efficient service to customers at all times, ensuring that their requirements are met and that products are weighed, packed and priced correctly.
- Communicate with customers in an energetic and natural way whether in person, on the phone or online.
- Make a pleasant shopping environment by providing a full range of products, preparing and replenishing as required, in accordance with merchandising guidelines.
- Maintain the cleanliness of machinery, equipment, storage, preparation and display areas in order to achieve standards of hygiene and the requirements of Brindisa’s cleaning programme.
- Be confident when using the till and taking our customers payment while adhering to all cash handling procedures.
- Show due care to the checking of deliveries and supplies at all times.
- Abide by statutory and company regulations regarding fire, health & safety and security issues in order to protect customers and colleagues.
- Maintain the highest standards of personal hygiene, appearance and conduct.

**Salary**: £24,856.00 per year

**Education**:

- GCSE or equivalent (preferred)
