**Shop Assistant and administrator for premium fishmongers**

We have a wonderful new role for our new premises in Spa Business park, Bermondsey. This is a hands on role where your exceptional customer service and sales skills will help us build an already roaring trade on a Friday and Saturday where our production facility opens up to the public. We already serve over 150 people in the 2 days we open and we are getting busier each week. This role would suit someone who thrives under pressure, loves food and takes pride in selling a premium product to a very receptive crowd.

You will also be rewarded for increasing sales and average spend per customer by way of organising taster/samples, organising promotions and re-arranging the shop layout and merchandising the store.

On a Thursday, when you are not busy with our shop sales you will also be responsible for carrying out stock takes, re-merchandising the store and preparing us for the busy weekend ahead. You will also be responsible to ensuring our ambient stock is replenished and ordered when running low on. You will also be encouraged to source new products and run through the necessary admin to launch them instore.

Our website reflects our stock in store so you will need to ensure we hold sufficient stock for online sales too.

We have grown our business organically through excellent quality seafood, sourced in the most sustainable way and offered with the highest level of service to our customers be it in our shops, online or to our growing wholesale range of customers.

We aim to significantly grow our retail sales out of our Bermondsey site and increase our home deliveries & click + collect service through our online store. We also aim to grow our wholesale clientbase considerably as well as offer cooking classes, fish preparatio classes, oyster nights and much more from our site here in Bermondsey.

**Retail Sales Associate for Premium fishmongers**

**Duties**:

- Working Thursdays from 9-3pm, Friday and Saturday 8.00 am to 4.00pm
- Greet customers and provide excellent customer service
- Assist customers in finding products and making purchasing decisions
- Maintain a clean and organized sales floor
- Stock shelves and merchandise products
- Upsell products and promote current promotions or discounts
- Working closely with our fishmonger to serve customers and fulfil their orders as they come in to the highest standards
- Learn and understand well where our fish is sourced, how and what is special about it
- Use recipe and serving suggestions to guide our customers through their purchase and identify upselling opportunities such as adding sauces, ambient products etc
- Preparing fish to customer specifications alongside our fishmonger
- Ensuring stock is rotated and short dated stock flagged and prioritised to sell
- Write out specials boards and other pojnt of sale tools
- Create outstanding displays of fish on the counters and help photograph for our social media channels
- Hit certain goals and KPI's
- Clean throughout the day maintaining a clean and hygienic work environment
