**About the role**:
Are you passionate about precision engineering and eager to learn the art of machining? We’re seeking a motivated individual to join our team as aMachine Shop Apprentice. In this role, you’ll gain hands-on experience operating CNC machines, mastering tooling techniques, and contributing to high-quality manufacturing processes.

**Key Skills to be developed during the Apprenticeship include**:

- The use of manual and CNC machine tools for the manufacture of precision machined components.
- Understanding and interpreting technical drawings and developing understanding of specifications and geometrical tolerances.
- Ability to use a wide range of measuring equipment and inspection techniques.
- Understanding manufacturing processes and sequences.
- Develop professional, positive relationships with all team members, with a focus on working collaboratively with all areas of the Machine Shop.
- Safe working within general Safety, Health and Environmental guidelines with specific attention and working to Departmental Risk Assessments.
- Strong interest in engineering with an enquiring mind.
- Computer literate.
- Dependable, enthusiastic and willing to learn.
- Good communication skills.
- Reliable and flexible and punctual.
- A strong, positive work ethic with a ‘can do, team focused’ approach.

**Qualifications Required**:

- It would be advantageous but not required if one year of a Machining/Engineering College course has been completed and further advantageous to have work experience within a similar environment.
- Minimum 5 GCSE’s at grade 5 or above (these must include English, Maths and Science)
