**Bookkeeper**

**Working pattern**:Part-time - 4 days per week

**Locations**:mostly remote, potentially travel to office one day per week

**Salary**:£28,000 - £32,000 FTE per year, depending on experience

As **Bookkeeper** at **The Marketing Centre**, working alongside the Management Accountant, you'll be essential in ensuring the accurate input of key data and providing credit control services - directly enhancing profitability and cash flow for the company.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Managing and reconciling bank accounts and credit cards
- Processing sales and purchase invoices, receipts, and payments
- Completing sales and purchase ledger reconciliations and maintenance
- Credit control: calling, sending reminders & statements, updating the debtors report
- Petty cash and expense postings
- Assisting in the updating of updating billing and forecast reports
- Processing payroll, if required
- Implementing new accounting procedures, if required

Organisation and filing of financial paperwork

**Requirements**:

- Fully or part qualified (AAT/IAB/ICB) or QBE 5+ years
- Advanced knowledge of Excel (formatting, VLOOKUPs would be nice to have)
- Highly computer literate (Windows, MS Office, Outlook, and Teams)
- Advanced knowledge/experience of Xero (accounting software)
- Understanding of PAYE & NIC
- At least 5 years working in SME businesses in a bookkeeping role
- Ability to work to deadlines
- Self-motivated, accurate, dependable and organised
- Able to communicate effectively, with good written and oral English language skills
- Excellent numerical skills
