**The Role**

Clacton County High School is part of the Sigma Trust and works closely in collaboration with the other schools within our trust family. As a result, we are innovative and always learning from each other to ensure that we deliver an exciting and progressive learning experience for our students.

Our school has its own sixth form college, Sigma Sixth, with a campus in Tendring located within a few minutes drive from the school. Although based at a different site, it is very much part of the mainstream school and there could be potential opportunities for teaching across all secondary key stages for the person with the appropriate skill set.

Without doubt, this is an exceptionally exciting time to join our staff, the school continues to expand and we have a recent new addition to the main school building of six brand new classrooms and a 4-court sports hall. The sixth form college opened within its new location in September 2020 and both sites have excellent facilities, and we continually develop our resources to accommodate and support the changing needs of the young people of this area.

**Some of your key responsibilities will include**:

- Teach high quality lesson across Key Stage 3 and 4 with the opportunity to teach at Key Stage 5 for the person with an appropriate skill set.
- Support and secure the commitment of others to the vision, ethos, direction and policies of the school and promote high standards of learning, behaviour and attendance as part of the pastoral team.
- Take a high-profile role around the school and be available before school and after school to fulfil pastoral duties effectively.
- Work with the PSHE coordinator to plan and implement a structured programme for each year group.
