If so, Moxie People is partnering with a small trauma-informed led VAWDASVcharity in South Wales, to recruit a Domestic Violence Practitioner for a newly created full-time permanent role.

**Purpose of the Domestic Violence Practitioner role**:

- Act as a first point of contact for Survivors of Domestic Abuse and Sexual Violence who wish to access support and advice.
- Provide proactive, trauma informed immediate crisis intervention services, identifying risks, and carrying out safety and support planning which are needs led and strengths based.
- Work with a diverse caseload of survivors providing a trauma informed, needs led, strengths based, and risk assured support over a short to medium term.
- Conduct dedicated support sessions on a regular basis (minimum fortnightly) ensuring risks and support plans are reviewed and updated.
- Support clients to explore and assess their housing needs, informing them of housing rights and responsibilities, assist with accessing permanent accommodation, advocate on their behalf presenting their case as required.

**What’s on offer?**
- Salary: £21,500 - £23,500 per annum plus on-call allowance
- Hours: 35 per week - Monday to Friday, 9am-4:30pm or 9:30am-5:00pm (flexible around childcare & school run)
- Location: Vale of Glamorgan

**Domestic Violence Practitioner - Role Requirement**:

- 1 year + experience of providing direct emotional and practical support to adults, including effectively managing and recording casework.
- Sound knowledge and understanding of the practical, emotional, social, and economic issues facing women and their families impacted by Domestic Abuse
- Evidence of up-to-date knowledge of housing, criminal, civil and welfare rights legislation relating to domestic violence.
- Level 3 in Health & Social Care (Children & Adults) is desirable, but not essential.
