Are you looking to gain experience in a food production laboratory? Are you looking to work in a growing, secure company?

Based in Avonmouth, Plant-Ex ingredients in an international company specialising in the manufacture of Natural Food Ingredient Solutions, supplying across the globe either directly through our own facilities or through a number of selected distribution partners.

We specialise in spray drying food colourings and flavours as well as production of liquid food colours, flavours and extracts.

We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Technical Laboratory Assistant

Full training will be provided and once trained you will be responsible for testing and sampling raw materials, obtaining samples from the production area, as well as prepping flavours and supporting the Laboratory Technicians. You will be responsible for keeping all lab equipment in a clean and calibrated condition during your shift while also ensuring records are maintained on the company reporting software.

We are looking for driven people who want to get involved and succeed in our fast-paced company. During your first 3 months you will work your way through our basic laboratory training matrix, including time with our colours, flavours, and extract specialists in the NPD laboratories, understanding how the products are developed and issues that can affect their production.

You will be literate and have basic computer skills with Microsoft office as well as good communication skills both written and verbal.

A methodical approach to problem solving and self-motivation is important in this role and would ideally suit someone with an analytical mind set.

Due to location own transport is required.
