**Technical Manager Job in Christchurch**
**Dovetail Recruitment are excited to be working with a company in Christchurch who work with some of the biggest retailers in the UK and internationally. We have the opportunity for an experienced Technologist or Technical Manager from the food industryto join a company where your colleagues are passionate about what they do and the people they work with. The business provides great development opportunities and are proud to be innovators of products that see in major retailers and grocers.**
**As the Technical Manager, you will be part of a team within the food category and use your technical knowledge to drive products through from concept to launch. If you’re a Food Technologist who would like a new challenge, this is a great opportunity.**
**Duties & Responsibilities of the Technical Manager**:
- Technical management position responsible for all snacking products
- Preparation of product specifications, web based and word based
- Check product artwork, packaging and labelling and would need a working knowledge of UK food legislation
- Work closely with the NPD team to ensure all technical requirements are applied during the NPD process and new launches
- Regulatory compliance
- Setting performance testing requirements and standard setting
- Travel to various locations attending factory trials, pre-production and product launches
**Knowledge and Experience**:
- Experience as a Technical Manager within the food industry, or a Technologist
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent prioritisation skills, with excellent time management and organisation skills
- Excellent communication skills
**Salary & Benefits**:
- £35 - 40,000 per annum with annual salary reviews
- 25 days holiday per annum, increasing to 27 days after 3 years’ service and 30 days after 5 years’ service
