Sewing Room Operative

Lords and Labradors is an online pet products retailer. We are looking for an enthusiastic, energetic person who will support our busy sewing room. The person must have a can-do attitude and want to help the team carry out their roles as efficiently as possible.

This is a busy role, one which needs someone who enjoys organising, is neat and efficient, has attention to detail.

There will be on the job training, sewing experience is not necessary but would be advantageous.

**Role**

The role will be to support all the seamstresses be more efficient; ensuring they are provided with all the correct materials and that finished product is checked, packed and barcoded.

**Tasks **will include:

- Organising raw materials and placing them in with seamstresses
- Matching colour shades and bundling fabric in appropriate fashion
- organising accessories to ensure that this can also be picked off the shelves i.e. shredded fabric/piping tape, border and zip
- Embroidery of personalised product
- Processing of Returns
- Quality inspection of finished product reporting of any issues
- Maintenance of tools and equipment used (i.e. scissors and cutters) ensuring that any new tool needs are reported in plenty of time to reduce downtime
- Keeping a clean and tidy workplace

**Salary**: £21,750.00-£22,500.00 per year

**Experience**:

- Machinist: 1 year (preferred)
