**About Us**: Barnardo's Liverpool Short Breaks Service is a newly commissioned service by Liverpool City Council, designed to provide essential short breaks for children and young people aged 8-18 with special educational needs and disabilities. Our service aims to support families by offering quality play and leisure activities while providing parents with much-needed respite. We are seeking passionate individuals to join our team and make a difference in the lives of children and families in our community.

We are looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Team Leader to join our team at Barnardo's Liverpool Short Breaks Service. As a Team Leader, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality activity sessions to children and young people, ensuring they have fun, engage in meaningful activities, and receive the support they need. Additionally you will be supervising a team of support workers. This role involves evening and weekend work during term time, with shifts transitioning to daytime hours during school holidays.
- Job Description:
- Monitoring quality of service, securing suitable bases, staffing rotas and overview of plans and service promotion to fill places.
- Ensure all group work meets the required standards for regulatory bodies i.e. Ofsted.
- Responding to and escalating safeguarding and health and safety concerns.
- Work some evenings and weekends including direct delivery of group work and for advice or support as needed (typically 2 evenings and 1 weekend day per week).
- Line management responsibilities, including undertaking supervisions.
- Record and ensure that all recordings are completed in a timely and appropriate way, also to monitor the recording of your supervisees.
- Complete file sign offs and case closing.
- Promote the services on offer by visiting schools, social work teams, health professionals and parents group.
- Liaise with other professionals, attend reviews internal and external.
- Feedback any key issues regarding the processes to line management.
- Collate evaluation feedback and monitoring information to be presented on an ongoing basis.
- To provide support with invoicing and bookings.
- To work flexibly across contract delivery to ensure cover is where needed.
