The opportunity has arisen to join the Community Paediatric team in the role of Senior Assistant Psychologist/Autism Assessment Practitioner.
- Hold a key role in the Community Paediatric team specifically supporting the parents/carers of young people with suspected Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- Work closely with the Community Paediatric team to promote a positive experience of the assessment process
- Promote and co-ordinate an efficient and supported journey for young people and their families/carers within the multiagency diagnostic pathway for ASD and related conditions
- Support those children and families who do not have a diagnosis but who have support needs, making referrals into other services as required
- Collate and share with families and professionals up-to-date local and national information on community and digital resources to support young people with ASD.
