Full time/part time permanent post
- West Dorset Locality

Part time fixed term post - West Dorset Locality - until April 2023.

We have a vacancy, for one or more Clinical/Counselling Psychologist(s) to join the Adult Psychology Service (APS) working closely with MDT on providing assessment, consultation, supervision and psychological interventions to our Community Mental Health Team(s). The Adult Psychology Service (APS) is an innovative department providing psychological services to the CMHTs. We offer a psychological programme aligned with a disorder specific pathway and employ both psychologists and specialist psychological therapists.

You will be given support to undertake CPD and receive regular clinical supervision from friendly and dedicated colleagues in the Adult Psychology Service. We have close links to the psychology departments at Exeter, Bournemouth and Southampton Universities and there will be opportunities to develop these links further.

We would also welcome applicants from newly qualified psychologists on a preceptorship basis (permanent position).

The post-holder will have the responsibility to provide psychological assessment, treatments and support the MDT with consultation, case formulation, reflective practice and supervision. Dorset Healthcare uses several platforms to deliver clinical services via remote means, so this is likely to form part of the working week alongside direct patient contact.
