**Objectives of this Role**:
As Service Chef you will help to develop our bakeries business with your skills, who really seek to achieve the highest Standards of pastry as locally bakery brand around the City. You’ll bring a good organisation and time management skills to prepare and baking all the daily forecast production in the bakery, you should be motivated by taking the opportunity to be a role model with a positive attitude to complete smoothly the shift day-to-day.

**Requirements**:
The role will involve baking, producing the different type of buns, following the right daily forecast and running the kitchen safely.

The Shift patterns for this role will be from:

- **Monday - Friday: Saturdays and Sundays Off - (either 4/5 days with a shift pattern of either 8/10 hours), depending on the needs of the business.**

**Our Bakeries open pretty early so typically all the Bakers will start early too; it will vary between our sites, however we ask that a you are available for a 5am start time.**

For this role will be required to do certain movements like twisting, bending, lifting trays during the daily production.

We ask that you are flexible with locations, you will be allocated one site, however might be requested to work in another site from time to time.

**Duties**:

- Opening / closing bakeries daily
- Providing and baking items for our pleasing display
- To ensure preparation for a wide variety of goods such buns, bread, achieved by following the right recipes.
- To ensure that the quality and presentation of the pastries and bread are in line with the company’s standards.
- To contribute to the smooth running of the kitchen, and daily kitchen operations.
- To ensure a good kitchen security and safe storage of food ingredients/products.
- To be aware of the rules set by company and/or by law regarding hygiene, stock rotation, dating, storage, temperature control of refrigerators, pest control.
- To ensure a good level of communication between all staff members
- To report any faulty equipment that can obstruct the daily productivity to the line Manager/Head chef.
- To acquire a good knowledge of the menu items in order to be available to train futures Service chefs
- To help prevent food waste of any kind / over production.
