**Software Development Engineer - £50,000- £60,000- Chertsey, Surrey/ Remote**

**The Role
OpenRad is a new company reinventing teleradiology. We are looking to recruit a Software Development Engineer to join the Visbion team, headquartered at our Chertsey, Surrey, headquarters but with the ability to work remotely.

Our business, which is expanding, specialises in the design and development of software solutions for the healthcare and veterinary industries, as well as for central government initiatives. You will be joining us at an extremely exciting time in our story.

**Key Responsibilities:
The key responsibilities of a Software Development Engineer include, but are not limited to:

- Work with the development team, user experience specialists, and other colleagues to design innovative image management solutions and enhancements to both our core products and novel services for the health service and central government
- Web interface development and maintenance using HTML5, Javascript, and XSLT
- Product development and maintenance using C++ and C
- Working with our Professional Services staff to investigate, diagnose and resolve suspected software defects
- Assist the technical authors to document user and system administration manuals and documentation
- Software testing in line with our quality management system and regulatory requirements
- Ensure that all relevant administrative, quality and regulatory documentation is accurately completed and maintained
- Help to maintain and administer our case logging and tracking system.

**The Person
The key skills and qualities of a Software Development Engineer are:

- 4-6 years of experience of working as part of a dynamic and innovative team
- Experience of HTML5 and Javascript essential
- Experience of MS Visual Studio essential
- Ability to hand code in HTML essential
- C and C++ programming desirable
- Proficiency in Microsoft tools such as Word and Excel will be helpful
- Proven track record of delivering quality projects to challenging deadlines
- Enthusiasm for working in a high profile, dynamic IT company
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- A self-starter, able to work with little supervision
- The ability rapidly to learn new technology
- Trustworthy as the role involves working with confidential information and data
- Full rights to work in the UK.
