An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) Advisor at our Turbines Blade Facility (TBF) & Precision Machining Facility (PMF) in Derby.

You will be responsible for delivering agreed business improvement plans (based on your expert evaluation of local HS&E performance) and actively responding to incidents. You will also support the local drive to the best HS&E practice.

Your needs are as unique as you are. Hybrid working is a way in which our people can balance their time between the office, home or another remote location. It’s a locally managed and flexed informal discretionary arrangement. As a minimum we’re all expected to attend the workplace for collaboration and other specific reasons, on average three days per week.

**What you will be doing**:
You will support the local management in identifying hazards or significant changes needed, assessing risks and defining the risk reduction or mitigation actions. You will look after:

- Leadership and Culture - support sector and functional programmes, promoting the importance of HS&E. Work with line managers to raise the standards and support cultural change.
- Governance - engage with local stakeholders to establish a governance structure. Monitor the subsequent effectiveness, perform assurance activities, identify and escalate issues and be the SME point of contact.
- Standards and Compliance - identify requirements, undertake gap analysis, support the development and delivery of improvement programmes. Monitor progress and interface with Regulators.
- Emergency Planning - support the development of local emergency planning scenarios, responses and ensure sites are informed.
- Shared Learning - coach supervisors to investigate incidents. Respond to incidents, identify trends in collated data, and report on action closure. Escalate issues and implement local improvements. Track the organisation's development progress, including the rollout of training and coaching.
- Monitoring and Reporting - monitor local risks and action closure. Analyse data to monitor local HS&E Performance, additional data and initiate local reduction / improvement actions.
- Planning - help to prepare specific improvement activity plans, clarifying risk-based improvement priorities and requirements for the development of the HS&E programme.

- NEBOSH (or equivalent) qualified with experience working in a HS&E role - required.
- Background in manufacturing & engineering.
- Motivated, self-starter who can drive projects and issues through to resolution and take ownership for solution implementation.
- Confident communicator who can engage and influence at all levels within the business.
- Good knowledge on HS&E management systems
