A leading PR consultancy are seeking a passionate and energetic Account Manager to help work across their growing corporate media and consumer PR portfolio supporting both in our PR and social & digital work.
This role presents an exciting opportunity to work on a varied programme of media activity, including proactive and reactive media handling, creative consumer and corporate campaign ideation and delivery, content creation and strategic comms planning, as wellas light touch influencer and social media engagement.
They will use this knowledge and experience to maximise existing client accounts, attract and win new business and expand the knowledge of the internal team.
Role Requirements:
- Working with the lead Directors, Associate Directors and Account Directors to grow and develop the corporate and consumer offer.
- Taking charge of existing accounts, driving them forward, using initiative and proactivity to achieve delivery for the client.
- Being the main point of contact for clients, where appropriate and establishing strong relationships with clients and associates.
- Drafting key materials, including proposals, communication plans, strategies, press releases, reports, key messages and media briefing documents.
- Develop and implement digital and social strategies at a corporate and campaign level.
- Reviewing and over-seeing the work of others - working with Account Executives to produce high quality, error-free materials.
- Manage and deliver creative, innovative, and engaging content to represent client brands values and messaging.
- Manage, implement, and monitor paid social, directing AEs on boosting and paid strategy and implementation, as week as managing budgets.
- A background in corporate or/and consumer PR with strong experience in media relations.
- An understanding of managing and optimising paid social and digital, from post boosting to paid ads and PCC, including managing budgets.
- Creative flair and an eye for detail and design (photoshop, in-app editing and design skills a definite bonus).
- Confident dealing with senior individuals, from media and journalists, to clients and stakeholders.
- Familiar with organising events, including media launch and influencer activity.
- Excellent organisational abilities - able to stay on top of a complex workload without ‘letting any balls drop’, manage that work and the wider team, and know when to bring in Directors and other team members.
- Good media skills and contacts - with specific experience of proactive media work (i.e. generating coverage) rather than just working in a largely reactive environment.
- Understanding of billing targets and client billing.
- Issues management - strength in understanding, condensing and communicating complex issues.
- Clear thinker with an ability to condense complex issues into clear and concise messages.
- Confident media operator, able to pick the phone up to journalists and get coverage.
- Highly creative and follower of trends.
- Ability to work effectively in a tightly knit organisation and thrive in such an environment, including at times working by yourself.
- Desire to manage and motivate people.
- Hands on approach to work (likes to get hands dirty) and happy to go above and beyond.
