**Your responsibilities**

We have an exciting role for a Purchasing System Controller to join us on a **12 month fixed term contract.** This role is pivotal in the administration & maintenance of all purchase orders for raw material and subcontract orders in line with requirements. The Purchasing Systems Controller will also play a key role in Supplier Mgt supporting the Commodity Mangers with Key Supplier Development activities and Risk Mgt.

You will work with the Commodity Managers & Departmental Managers on process improvement, efficiencies and cost reduction through digitisation working closely with the business teams.

**Your main duties will be**:

- Providing administrative support to the supply chain function
- Working across a world-wide supply chain, to meet on-time delivery performance and contractually agreed deadlines
- Proactively managing Purchase Orders across multi commodities
- Ensure that the material database (SAP) is continuously and accurately updated and any electronic filing is kept up to date and maintained accurately
- Immediately notify the Commodity Managers and Sales of any potential problems or delays which could adversely affect delivery of material
- Managing order confirmations from suppliers
- Ensure shipping documents are received, including packing lists ahead of despatch of material
- Controlling all goods in deliveries and ensuring all deliveries are booked in prior to arrival
- Work with customs agents to ensure they have the relevant import documentation required
- Control incoming containers into UK ports
- Other administrative duties as required

**Essential knowledge /skills /experience /behaviours**:

- Must be able to demonstrate a good level of experience in material planning
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work with both the supply chain and colleagues
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy is essential.
- Working within a culture of continual improvement, must have the ability to bring a fresh set of ideas
- Determined, focused and positive attitude

**Desirable knowledge /skills /experience /behaviours**:

- Experience of import/export customs procedures preferable
- Experience of SAP stock systems.
