Responsible for supporting RICS with the successful delivery of a blended engagement programme

The Market Engagement Lead will increase the relevance and influence of RICS amongst its members
by capturing market-specific member insights that inform our plans and ensure regular, impactful
communication flows to members. The Market Engagement Lead is a trusted ambassador who
oversees interaction with our boards whilst building and maintaining a network of influential members
from across their markets.
Please note, this role will include travel to cover the Midlands and South West areas.

**Key Achievements & Responsibilities**
- Gather and provide strategic insight to central teams regarding product and service demands from members
- Work collaboratively with other Member Engagement Leads to drive and deliver a blended communication and engagement plan aimed at engaging RICS professionals, key stakeholders and other industry related professionals.
- Manage the relationship with the Regional and National Boards ensuring activities and objectives are aligned to the RICS Corporate Goals
- Work with the Corporate Communications and Global Engagement teams to ensure a regular flow of information is shared with, and consumed by, Members in each of their markets.
- Work with the Public Affairs and Thought Leadership teams to ensure members are aware of and are connected to our influencing and advocacy work.
- Support the delivery of the RICS UK Awards by managing a selected group of UK judges and manage the process of identifying regional award winners
- Respond to all enquiries from RICS Professionals within your region and use the matrix structure effectively to identify colleagues who can support you and the member
- Identify opportunities to implement new ways of building member engagement and work with the relevant functional leadership teams across the organisation to execute those ideas

Expected Outcomes
- #1 Success Measure = Rising Member Engagement scores across the market, as measured by Member Engagement Corporate Objective and other lead indicators
- Clear market-specific member engagement plans that can be shared with and are committed to by relevant stakeholders across the matrix structure
- Coordination and delivery of action plans by teams from respective horizontals of the matrix structure to deliver total member engagement solutions specific to each market

**Experience Required**
- Ability to assess and distil market insight and formulate strategic plans based on that insight
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills and ability to instil confidence in senior stakeholders
- Innovative and creative approach to problem solving
- Relevant market knowledge relating to industry, culture, economy
- Strong knowledge of the directorate activities across RICS
- Highly developed strategic influencing skills, with the ability to drive solutions and service deliverables through others
- Strong EQ / people skills, natural collaborator
- Demonstrable evidence of building and developing strong, trusted relationships, internally and externally
- Excellent skills in identifying innovative, solution-based propositions to deliver high impact results
- Able to communicate effectively in writing, orally and with strong presentation and influential skills
- Demonstrate ability to operate in a matrix structure and international environment
- Confident and motivated self-starter with a flexible and agile approach
- Demonstrable track record of personal development in a high challenge high support environment
- Line management experience desirable
