We are seeking to recruit to our busy Highways Development & Design Team based in the Transportation & Highways Infrastructure Section. The team is based in Magdalen House, Bootle.

The Section is responsible for all the planning, management and maintenance of the Highways in Sefton.

The Data Maintenance and Publication Officer will play a key role as the first point of contact in a local authority for:

- The allocation of house numbers or names and street names to new developments and property conversions
- The re-naming of streets and the re-numbering of properties and where they are deem necessary.
- Processing Local Land Charges for highway matters

These duties are essential for the efficient functioning of postal and emergency services as well as for the convenience and safety of the general public.

You should possess excellent IT skills and have knowledge of working with GIS, databases and mapping systems. Experience of naming and numbering and of working with Local Land Charges would be an advantage but is not essential.
