Restaurant Host/hostess

Chew-On-This is a fast-growing, dynamic UK-based food and beverage Group with 6 restaurant brands spanning across UK and we want to expand our front of house team at our Chinese restaurant, **Shan Shui, **at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 Departure Lounge.

You should preferably have a strong command of spoken Mandarin and English and love interacting with people from all walks of life. You must be a fast learner and an organised and competent individual with substantial experience in working in a fast-paced restaurant. If you're all that and more, we want YOU

**Your Role as Restaurant Host**:

- Greet and welcome guests as they arrive at the restaurant
- Escort guests to their assigned tables or seating areas
- Provide menus and inform guests about daily specials or promotions
- Manage reservations, waiting lists and table seating to ensure efficient seating
- Assist guests with any inquiries or requests they may have
- Ensuring the queue system runs smoothly and comfortably for customers
- Interact with customers and create a friendly dining atmosphere
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host station
- Assist front of house team with customers’ orders if/when necessary
- Serve food to tables if/when necessary
- Engage with customers to ensure they are satisfied and have an enjoyable dining experience
- Collaborate with servers, kitchen staff, and management to ensure smooth operations
- Assist with bills and payments
- Attend regular meetings with restaurant and kitchen managers on menu changes and specials
- Possess a good knowledge of the menu
- Provide great customer service

**Your Experience**:

- Previous experience in guest services, preferably in a restaurant setting
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to handle difficult situations with patience and professionalism
- Strong phone etiquette and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to help out in other areas of the restaurant as needed

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £13.00 per hour

Expected hours: 48 per week
