To support this initiative BIC Innovation is seeking a Product Specialist for the Scale-Up offer under a fixed term contract of employment for a period of 18months.

**The Package**

As the Product Specialist - Scale-up, you’ll be employed by a flexible and supportive employer that fosters a work-life balance culture and you will also benefit from:

- Salary in the region of £40,000 to £47,500, with the level based on experience

**Job Purpose**

The role will focus on the development and delivery of scaleup activities as part of the Innovate UK Business Growth offer. They will support the Innovate UK Business Growth delivery partners, their scale up directors and innovation & growth specialists to ensure a consistent service offer and delivery approach across the range of support delivered.

**Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities**
- Lead on the development of the Innovate UK Business Growth scaleup offer in line with the objectives set out in the Innovate UK Plan for Action/Corporate Delivery Strategy and Business Growth objectives
- Design, develop and lead appropriate structures within Innovate UK Business Growth overall support offer, to oversee the delivery of scaleup activity (e.g., Scale Up Programme, Non-Executive Director initiative)
- Identify supporting tools/software, consortium training needs, manage any related procurement and provide strategic support on the development and roll out of new scaleup initiatives
- Work with the Innovate UK Business Growth Service Design and Engagement team and wider reach and engagement functions to ensure the scaleup offer is communicated clearly to internal and external stakeholders, and all materials relating to the support are consistent with Innovate UK Business Growth strategy
- Ensure that Innovate UK Business Growth scaleup offer is aligned and engaged with activity in other parts of Innovate UK
- Develop and maintain a broad understanding of the scaleup ecosystem, working closely with partners and stakeholders
- Work with the Delivery Operations Leads to ensure that internal operational frameworks, processes and governance are in place to support the consortium to deliver scaleup activities

Line management responsibility for the Product Specialist Scaleup
- Day-to-day management of activities within the scaleup offer as a part of the Innovate UK Business Growth service - Ensure Innovate UK Business Growth scaleup support and delivery is fit for purpose and achieves impact
- Management of internal stakeholders to define scope and objectives for Innovate UK Business Growth scaleup support, addressing issues with senior stakeholders ensuring they are fully engaged and able to support delivery
- Working closely with the Innovate UK Scale Up Programme team to ensure delivery partners achieve a consistent delivery approach
- Support the Innovation Lead in ensuring interfaces and dependencies between internal stakeholders are managed effectively, including operations, governance, compliance, legal teams and Innovate UK’s domain teams
- Creation of governance for management of Innovate UK Business Growth scaleup support - Support the management of project budgets and financial due diligence; gaining sign off and potentially stage gate processes with relevant stakeholders
- Collation of insights and generation of relevant reports to enable progress of service delivery and engagement to be tracked centrally, working closely with the Innovate UK Business Growth Monitoring & Insight Managers, Impact & Performance Manager and Data Analysts
- Delivery of process improvements delivering resource efficiencies within Innovate UK Business Growth
- Deputise for Innovate UK Business Growth Innovation Leads
- Provide secretariat to related meetings as required
- Support ad-hoc project work as directed by the Innovate UK Business Growth Senior Management Team
