**POSITION: Retail Supervisor - Berkhamsted Golf Club**

**RESPONSIBLE TO: Head Professional**

**SALARY: Competitive (full time)**

**Berkhamsted Golf Club is seeking to recruit a highly motivated, retail supervisor with a background in high-street retail. The shop at Berkhamsted Golf Club will be stocked with a range of hardware and soft goods from premium manufacturers.**

**MAIN DUTIES**:
To work closely with Head Professional in running the retail and golf operation for the golf course; manages co-workers, while maintaining excellence in quality and customer relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Manages all retail and golf operation with a hands on approach in the absence of the Head Professional and co-ordinates to achieve qualitative/quantitative goals and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Ensures that co-workers meet all standards for performance, appearance and service provision, determines assignments and division of responsibilities.
- Maintains existing retail and golf operations ensuring the highest possible quality of service to meet customer expectations and assure repeat business.
- Processes all telephone enquiries, green fee and other payments in a professional manner
- Reconcile all transactions and process orders through the ePOS system in an appropriate manner
- Offer assistance to customers on merchandise and facilities on offer
- Conducts club tour of property to ensure clean and tidy operation.
- Ensures that all policies and procedures related to the operation of the retail department are enforced and implemented appropriately, including personnel management, stock rotation, displays, deliveries, buggy policy, cash and credit card processing, and health and safety.
- Ensures that adequate inventories are maintained and storage is provided.
- Reviews daily bookings, tee times, lessons, societies and events
- Solicits and handles customer enquiries, comments, suggestions and concerns to provide answers or determine solutions. Follows up with customers to ensure satisfaction.
- Conducts staff meetings with and post notices for co-workers to communicate goals, events and any changes to policy and/or procedure.
- Provides feedback to HOD regarding such things as customer comments, ideas for service improvement, strategies for revenue growth, and health and safety issues.
- Complies with BGL personnel policies and procedures and health and safety procedures
- To undertake any further duties as requested by the management
