Solace is an innovative, exciting charity working across London. As the second largest provider of VAWG services in the UK, we exist to end the harm done through gender-based violence. Our purpose is to work to prevent violence and abuse, as well as providing services to meet the individual needs of survivors, particularly women and children. Our work is holistic and empowering, working alongside survivors to achieve independent lives, free from abuse.

**About the Service**

You will be working closely with the Executive Team and Board of Trustees. The Executive Team comprises of the CEO, Director of Finance and Business Support, Director of Business Development, and the Director of Services.

**About the Role**

This is a great opportunity to work alongside well organised Senior Management and Trustee Teams supporting Governance and good office management and contributing to the smooth running of a highly successful organisation.

Working in a busy but rewarding environment you will be responsible for providing high-level support to the CEO, Trustees, and Executive Team. Your responsibilities will include managing the CEO's schedule, managing organisation events including the annual staff conference and quarterly management away days, overseeing Board and Committee meeting logistics and scheduling, and being responsible for preparing and distributing Board and Committee papers and minutes.

This role will require some late evenings and occasional weekends.

**About You**

You will need to be a born organiser, with excellent IT skills, and be a clear communicator both verbal and written. You will have a keen attention to detail, capable of managing and prioritising a varied workload, with superb judgment, a diplomatic approach and problem-solving skills. This role places you at the centre of our organisational governance; supporting the Executive team with managing organisational risk and ensuring that best practise for governance processes is adhered to. The role therefore requires someone who has previous experience at working at Board level and is comfortable with confidentiality and dealing with sensitive information.
