Accounts Receivable Specialist

**About the role**:
We are looking for an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our Transactional Finance Team, working alongside one other team member and reporting into the Transactional Finance Manager.
This is a perfect role for someone with a strong background in collections and able to work on own initiative as well as part of a team.

Bailie Group Business Services provides the People, Finance, IT, Compliance and Payroll support functions to the diverse operating companies within the Bailie Group. As a shared services function, we employ a pool of knowledgeable individuals who work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment to provide a critical support function.
**Responsibilities**:
The main responsibilities are detailed below. The post holder would also be expected to perform any other duties which might reasonably be required by the business:
- Raising and issuing invoices and credit notes to customers across our 4 main companies within our group as well as monthly statements
- Ensuring information is accurate and issued in the agreed formats to meet customer requirements and timescales using multiple systems including Access & Synergist.
- Handling of the day-to-day credit control duties, contacting customers to confirm payments are made promptly, responding to client queries and general upkeep of the sales ledger and aged debtors.
- Daily posting of bank receipts and allocating
- Working closely with the internal stakeholders on account management and set up of new client accounts when required.
- Carrying out credit checks using our agreed credit report agencies.

- Articulate and confident in dealing with internal and external customers at all levels in both written and verbal communication.
