An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Camden School Nursing Service to recruit an enthusiastic and dynamic band 3 staff member to work alongside the Enuresis and School Nurses to support children and young people with continence issues.

The successful applicant may have contact with patients or service users. As an NHS Trust we strongly encourage and support vaccination as this remains the best way to protect yourself, your family, your colleagues and of course patients and service users when working on our healthcare settings.

Main duties of the job

**The role will entail**:

- To work alongside the Enuresis nurse in an administrative and patient liaison role supporting children and families to address continence issues adopting specified guidelines. Excellent organisation and IT skills will be essential.
- Dealing with and answering telephone queries from service users.
- Responding to requests and liaising with special school nurses/assistants as well as other healthcare professionals.
- Ordering nappies and amending nappy prescriptions on the NHS delivery service portal.
- Having the opportunity to facilitate optimum uptake of the service by promoting an awareness of the service amongst school aged children, parents/carers, educational staff and other professionals where possible.

The successful applicant will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and contribute towards improving the health outcomes for a culturally diverse population of children, young people and families by working in partnership with experienced Enuresis and School Nurses.

Band 3 Administrator are expected to be kind and responsive but professional and informative and contribute to the quality of the services we provide by:

- Keeping the people who are using our services as safe as possible by recognising the limits of the role and working closely with Enuresis and School nurses.
- Contributing to the best possible clinical outcomes by using up-to-date skills and adhering to evidence based policies and procedures when implementing care plans
- Ensuring the people using our services have a good experience by respecting, empowering and working in partnership with people when contributing to the implementation and evaluation of care plans

Successful applicants will meet the person specification for the post, giving evidence where appropriate.
