Medical Administrator

The following are the core responsibilities of the Administration Assistant. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks; this will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels:
a. Summarising incoming patient records
b. File and store records as required
c. Prescription requesting
d. Process changes to patient registration, deduction of record and new patient registration
e. Input data into the patients’ healthcare records as necessary
f. Answer incoming phone calls, transferring calls or dealing with the callers’ requests appropriately
g. Welcome patients and visitors to the organisation, directing requests appropriately
h. Maintain a clean, tidy, effective working area at all times
i. Support all clinical staff with general administrative tasks as requested
j. Complete all Drug monitoring Recalls
k. Complete all Prescription GP2GP requests
l. Record and Inform staff of all MHRA Drug alerts
**Secondary responsibilities**
In addition to the primary responsibilities, the Administration Assistant may be requested to:
a. Partake in audit as directed by the audit lead
b. Support reception staff, providing cover during staff absences
c. Book appointments
d. Complete opening and closing procedures in accordance with the duty rota
e. There may be, on occasion, a requirement to carry out other tasks. This will be dependent upon factors such as workload and staffing levels
**Job Type**: Part-time
**Salary**: £11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 25 per week
