About the role

- “My team is made up of experienced and skilled team players that excel at working in the nuclear industry. I would like to welcome an individual that can bring their knowledge, experience and skills and transfer them to further develop and enhance the safe delivery of the Magnox mission. _We work a rotating 12 hour shift pattern of day and night shift comprising of 07.00-19.00 & 19.00-07.00 Monday to Friday over a 3 week cycle”._

**Key Deliverables**:

- Carry out decommissioning/waste operation activities in an assigned area.
- Carry out safe handover and handback of work areas and/or tasks
- Wear a variety of personal protective equipment and clothing.
- Direct supervision of an assigned team.
- Co-ordinate tasks and staff to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure that any maintenance requirements and equipment faults are reported promptly and are recorded.
- When requested provide cover during absences
- Support the effective deployment of company-wide policies, processes, systems and procedures always ensuring that the business remains compliant.

**Qualifications and Experience**:

- Able to use protective clothing and equipment (Essential)
- Possess an awareness of safe working practices (Essential)
- Able to work with minimum supervision (Essential)
- Level 2 NVQ in Nuclear Decommissioning (Desirable)
- Experience of operating forklift trucks, overhead cranes and lifting equipment (Desirable)
- Able to work to detailed instructions (Desirable)
- Computer literate (Desirable)
- Driving Licence (Desirable)

**Additional Information**

Please be aware this role holder requires security clearance, or the ability to obtain said clearance.

There is a requirement to live within a commutable distance to the sites where the role is based. For central/multi-site roles, we have various hubs across the UK and can be flexible with base location.
