**Position Expectation**:
This holder of this position is responsible for the daily setup and operation of computer-controlled press brakes to perform one or more machine functions on steel products. A Level 4 operator/supervisor has all the capabilities of a level 3 operator and can demonstrate good communication, decision making and good judgement, Take timely and appropriate corrective/disciplinary action with employees. Respond quickly and precisely to instruction and be proactive with 6s audits. Delegate work and responsibility based on employee’s potential and ability. Takes specific steps to identify performance expectations and assists employee’s ability for developing their skills. Plan and prioritise workload and lists with account controllers in the absence of the team leader.

**Principal Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Capable of problem solving, supervising, and mentoring level 1,2, and 3 labourer/operators.
- Capable of producing parts without the need for supervision and dimensionally check to drawing and make adjustments to programmes.
- Capable of understanding more advanced drawing symbols.
- Capable of working to drawing tolerances and possessing the knowledge and skills to maintain them to an acceptable standard.
- Capable of producing components and dimensionally checking and verifying to drawing
- Can work from flat profile drawings and understand development lengths.
- Proficient in all the onsite press brake machinery.
- Capable of working to deadlines and see tasks through to completion in a timely manner.
- Understands safe working practices material and tooling limits.
- Keep the department clean and tidy.
- Follow company procedures as laid down in the staff handbook.
- Work to the company 6s system.
- Once trained, load and unload material manually or with hoists or cranes, depending on weight and size.
- Assist other experienced operators in folding parts.
- Assist experienced operators in the safe loading and unloading of tooling
- Capable of mentoring level 1 labourer/trainee on specific jobs, where required.
- Must be willing to work extended hours or shifts as requested
- Ensure production schedule follow through as allocated by the Team Leader.
- Can use MIE-TRAK and work to daily tasks maintenance, downtime, and time sheets.
- Other duties assigned by Lead/Supervisor or Management.
- Responsible for the safe and proper packaging, identifying, and moving of all finished products to the correct location.
- Performs first piece dimensional inspections as well as all subsequent inspections as required by AET quality standards.
- Monitor equipment and request maintenance when required.
- Report any issues that may jeopardize quality standards

- Safety, Quality, Accuracy, Timeliness, Reliability and Thoroughness of work performed.
- Understands health and safety on the shop floor.
- Develops good working relationships with the Team Leader, Supervisor, co-workers, and other employees.
- Develops a working knowledge of the production environment and has ability to respond to change.

**Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities**:

- Apprentice trained or time served experience in the press brake industry.
- Ability to work well as a team member.
- Understanding and support of Company policies and procedures.
- Position requires the ability to operate precision measuring devices such as calipers, square, micrometres, protractors, and tape measures.

**Working Conditions**:
This position works in a production environment with the risk of injury. The relevant safety equipment must be worn when working with equipment in the robotic welding department. This will require the compulsory wearing of hearing protection, vision protection, steel-toed shoes, and other appropriate protective clothing.

This is a physical role with a requirement for occasional bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and pushing up to 20kgs.

Pay: £17.02-£17.87 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
