**Location**:Remote working (1 Day a week in the Cardiff Office would be ideal but is not an essential requirement)

**Background**:
We have an exciting opportunity for someone join the Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) Senior Leadership team to help deliver on the digital roadmap, digital strategy, and future direction of the DDaT function within Companies House.

Reporting to the Director of DDaT and line managing for the Head of Agile Delivery profession, you will be required to lead on the delivery across multiple teams at all stages of the development and product life cycle. You will also be expected to collaborate with stakeholders and teams across Companies House.

Therefore, we are looking for someone strategic and collaborative and who displays strong leadership skills.

**As **Head of Delivery, **you will**:

- Through strong leadership, you will be promoting and ensuring the principles of GDS’ service standard, tech code of practice and Government Delivery Profession standards
- Own delivery, tracking, forecasting and ongoing iteration and updating of the DDaT delivery plan, including the critical path
- Develop and iterate ways of working to meet team needs and delivery commitments, ensuring we have the capacity and skills to deliver, build a talent pipeline and own the DDaT workforce plan
- Champion and maintain a diverse and inclusive environment
- Work closely across the business, particularly with the Service Owners
- Have oversight of the supplier and commercial relationships across DDaT
- Be the lead DDaT member of the Companies House Delivery Board
- Lead delivery across multiple teams at different stages of development and product life cycle
- Lead on developing and implementing delivery methods that combine both permanent civil servants and resources seamlessly, and to best effect following Government standards
- Work closely with senior leadership colleagues to ensure that we have appropriate levels of governance that enable delivery at pace
- Work within Companies House processes, and with senior delivery groups to track progress against plans
- Manage the DDaT risk framework, ensuring that all risks to delivery are surfaced and mitigations implemented
- Have oversight for recruitment for the Companies House agile delivery management community
- Collaborate and engage with users, stakeholders and teams across the government frequently
- Overall budget responsibility for the function
- Coach and mentor other members of the DDaT Product community, identifying learning and development opportunities for individuals and teams

**We are looking for someone with skills in**:

- Agile delivery - practitioners who have experience in medium to large digital transformation programmes (skill in scaled lean/agile management methods and techniques preferred)
- Managing multi-million-pound budgets and large-scale delivery plans, with recruitment and programme KPIs to match
- Managing a complex risk environment, with elements such as political context or public interest
- Managing and influencing varied stakeholder groups, using high contextual awareness to balance key priorities.
- Ensuring sustainable but progressive delivery momentum - solving issues and unblocking problems, and empowering teams to do the same
- To work collaboratively across a variety of disciplines involved in digital delivery, including engineering, service design, product management, performance analysis and user research developed through working in multi-disciplinary teams
- Commercial, supplier and dependency management, ensuring commercial contracts and suppliers are accountable for their timeliness, value and quality
- Managing uncertainty, accountability and with being the escalation point for internal and external issues
- Influencing and making positive changes to the organisation
- Creating and supporting a working culture that empowers, engages, and supports our staff.
