**Overview of the role**:
**The role will be based at Cardiff.**

WARD are currently recruiting for an experienced Crane Operator to join our team in Cardiff. You will be part of a hardworking team of Ward employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to your Line Manager, you will carry out a range of duties across the site.

**Hours and location**

Monday to Friday 07.00 am - 17.00 pm. Please note that occasional weekend work may be required. Overtime will be paid at a higher rate and there is a competitive night shift allowance as part of this package as well as a Bonus Scheme.

**The Role**:
We are looking for experienced Crane Drivers/Material Re-Handlers to join our team at our material recycling facility in Cardiff. You will be part of a hardworking team of Ward employees who support in the recycling of over half a million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals each year. Reporting to the Site Manager, you will carry out associated duties with loading vessels ready for shipment around the world.

**Requirements**:

- Operate crane and other equipment in a safe, competent manner
- Monitor materials and report and non-acceptable material items
- Reform material pile to ensure most effective grab volume
- Maintain clean and safe work environment

Ability to commute/relocate:

- CARDIFF: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
