Our client who is based within a highly regarded public sector organization, have a temporary role for a Communications Officer. This role attracts a pay rate of £15.25 per hour and is based in Glasgow City Centre, with hybrid working. The hours of workare Mon - Thu, 8.30am to 5pm and Fri 8.30am to 4.30pm.
This role will be until end January 2023 with a possible extension.
Applicants must have a current Basic Disclosure Scotland, Certificate dated within the last 3 months.
**Main Duties**:

- Based within the Digital team who are responsible for publishing, promoting, monitoring, and handling key policy comms, especially through social media and on their website
- Keep Scotland moving via proactive communications and coordinating with partners.
- Meet the organization's demand for publishing and promoting information across all business areas.
- Enable the Comms team to increase their social media output
- Respond where appropriate or pass on to policy teams where there may be issues arising - at the same time as dealing with in-depth content requests and our legal obligation to meet accessibility standards.
- To effectively manage this varied and demanding workload

**Essential Skills**:

- Excellent time management skills with the ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Demonstrably good numeracy and IT Skills, including the use of Excel spreadsheets
- Previous Social communications and Social Media experience.
- Excellent communication
