**Sommelier in a beautiful 3AA Rosette, Gold Starred retreat in the North Yorkshire Countryside - 3 days off each week.**

**What we expect**:

- Curate an outstanding and extensive wine list that complements the restaurant's cuisine.
- Showcase rare and exceptional vintages, providing a unique and memorable dining experience.
- Deliver impeccable wine service, demonstrating an in-depth knowledge of proper decanting, pouring, and presentation.
- Offer personalized recommendations based on the nuances of each dish and the customer's preferences.
- Have an in-depth understanding of the intricacies of dishes and their compatibility with different wines.
- Provide detailed explanations of the wines, vintages, and the reasoning behind specific pairings.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and new releases in the wine industry.
- Ensure that the wine program aligns with the overall concept and reputation of the restaurant.
- Train and educate the restaurant staff regularly on the intricacies of the wine list and service expectations.
- Have a good personality and people skills.
- Will have a keen eye for detail and be willing to go above and beyond to ensure a consistent level of service.
- Must be able to work well as part of a team and in a very busy environment.
- Be able to communicate well with both the customers and the rest of the team is also incredibly important.
