The Birmingham Neighbourhood Network Scheme (NNS for short) aims to enable people to lead healthy, happy, independent lives within their own homes and communities.

As a Neighbourhood Networker you will play a key role in mapping, engaging and supporting, community assets & groups within Sutton Coldfield, to sustain and build their current capacity and offer to older people and adults with disabilities.

You will also support community social work practice by linking social workers, community groups, organisations, to older people, and younger adults with disabilities. You will help to support the development of new ideas and ways of supporting citizens and be part of the development of a citywide model for Neighbourhood Network Schemes in Birmingham.

Community engagement, by way of arranging and delivering events and workshops, will be a key part of this role and as such experience of organising and leading on community activities would be highly beneficial.

You will be based in either our Sutton Coldfield or Castle Vale office but will be required to travel to and work extensively within the wider Sutton Coldfield area.

The role is 21 hours per week and is a fixed term contract until 31st March 2027.
