**About the Logistics Coordinator** **role**:
As our Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for managing the logistics activities in accordance to contractual arrangements, the purpose of the job is to ensure the smooth running of the logistics epartment by planning deliveries along with maintaining communication with logistics suppliers and customers.

**Responsibilities as our Logistics Coordinator** **will include**:

- Manage logistic activities in accordance to contractual arrangements (own planning responsibilities)
- Maintain contact with (logistic) suppliers and customers
- Communication with the drivers and informing the customers of any delays
- Capturing the customers’ requirements and passing on delivery instructions to drivers
- Cultivate and produce reports covering operational statistics such as goods received and issued to track performance against KPI’s to the Contract Manager
- Capacity planning to accommodate pending deliveries as required.
- Monthly audit of internal and external storage facilities. Reporting deviations from agreed volumes to all stakeholders in times
- Support logistics managers: make offers for customers, oversee progress, etc.
- Capture stock movements and manage the stock inventory.
- Support the Logistics Manager with departmental expense management
- Liaise with operations department on the import and export of goods to and from the UK
- Building rapport with customers whilst managing the account.
- Attend site meetings where required an applicable
- Assist with training within the branch and in other branches
- Quarterly stock checks and effective management of stock
- Sickness cover for other key roles within assigned department
- Effective financial account management of key clients
- Always wear suitable clothing and personal protective equipment for the task being undertaken.
- Inform the First Aider or Appointed Person of all accidents that may occur.
- To ensure Health and Safety and COSHH regulations are always adhered to and that all incidents are reported in line with Company procedures
- Working within the company's operational procedures and within statutory requirements including the provision and maintenance of a safe working environment.
- Always follow Health and Safety rules and instruction, avoid improvisation and comply with the employee handbook/health and safety policy.

Additional task and responsibilities will be required within reason to support the needs and requirements of the business.
